Terre Siciliane Nero d'Avola PGI is a wine that is produced in the Sicilian Vito Curatolo Arini winery.
Processing method
The wine is produced in purity from the Nero d'Avola grape, whose vines are grown in Central Sicily, both in Caltanissetta, between 350 and 500 meters above sea level on clayey sandstone soils and a western exposure, and in Piana del Cusatino, at about 500 meters above sea level, clayey calcareous soil and an exposure that faces south. In both locations the temperature range deriving from the altitude, allows a perfect ripening of the bunches. After the harvest, the grapes used for the Terre Siciliane Nero d'Avola PGI are fermented in steel at a controlled temperature and then left to rest for a few months; the result is a precise, dynamic, sometimes enveloping wine.
