Bastianich

“The cellar contains the story of the values of the Bastianich family”
The deep connection that the Bastianich family has with the wine world takes us back decades and generations. In fact, it dates back to the meetings with the most important winemaking families in the 1970s and 1980s and to the promotion of the best Friulian wines in the menus of the various restaurants of the family in the United States. It was precisely this passion for wine, combined with the desire to rediscover and rediscover one’s origins, which led the Bastianich family, in 1997, to plant the first vineyards in Buttrio and Cividale del Friuli, in one of the most suitable areas of Italy to the production of white wines. The vineyard is “The place that tells passion and devotion” The vineyards, all owned since 1997, are located in two distinct areas of the DOC Colli Orientali del Friuli. The first vineyard is located on the hills of Buttrio and Premariacco, in the hottest and southernmost area of the Doc. Influenced by the heat coming from the sea, it offers the grapes for the production of our more full-bodied and structured Cru wines, such as the Vespa Bianco, Vespa Rosso, Plus and Calabrone. The second vineyard, located on the hills of Cividale del Friuli, is influenced by the bora, the cold wind coming from the north, which, in the coldest nights, produces wines of greater aromatic intensity.
